Contentment

We celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday. It’s not a holiday here, so the kids were in school and everyone was at work. But my friend, Diana, who is also American, and I put it all together, and despite forgetting to take pictures of all of us around the table, we managed to pull off a memorable Thanksgiving for our families. Today it’s back to school and work, so I’m playing Christmas music in the car, and that feels like enough for now.  When I reflect on how I was doing one year ago, for this Thanksgiving, I am overwhelmingly thankful for contentment.
