I'm not the most care-free spirit, and while I was once a wanderlust, having children has brought about a greater inclination to nest. But a very dear friend nicknamed me "nomad" many years ago because he saw that I was happiest when free to fly, even when my feet never leave the ground.

I studied in Zimbabwe, backpacked a bit of Europe with my brothers, and returned to France for a vacation, then decided to stay. After four years in Paris (and many travels throughout Europe), I moved to Abu Dhabi for work and more travel in the Middle East and Asia. I returned to my own Midwestern American soil for five years after getting married to start a family, and now we have relocated to Lisbon, Portugal, the place of my husband's birth and upbringing.

I do believe that any given moment can be an adventure, especially when shared.  And so I share my ideas, my family, my struggles, and my joys through writing in the hopes that these moments might connect with, mirror, or inspire some of your own adventures.
